EAST ESSEX TRI - TRISTAR LEAGUE:         East Essex Tri Junior Facebook Group
The above races make up the East Essex Tri Club TriStar League.  Open to all club members, athletes compete in their own gender & age group (TriStar Start, 1, 2 & 3).  There are a maximum of 5 scoring events of which the best 2 triathlons, the best aquathlon/duathlon/bike and best 2 other events (any) count.  Scoring is based on the winner getting 100 points and then for other competitors, points are awarded as a proportion of the winners time divided by their time.  It is therefore important that if you can't win the race to get as close as possible to the winner's time.
Bonus Points (new for 2019):  There will be 10 bonus points for all athletes competing in the TriStar Club Championships.  There will also be 10 bonus points for all TriStars who marshal at the Basildon Aquathlon (adults event) and at the Grays Triathlon on 14th July
Tristar categories with ages & race distances can be found here: More Information

East Region Children's League / Junior Series (ERL) More Information
Races labelled ERL make up the East Region League (Junior Series).  To take part in the Series, athletes must also be a member of British Triathlon.  Overall positions will be based on the best 5 results of which 4 must be triathlons, the fifth can be a duathlon, aquathlon or triathlon.  Points are calculated on the winning time with the winner receiving 1000 points.  Subsequent results are calculated by dividing the winning time by the time of other athletes and multiplying the result by 1000.  Note that there are more events in the East Region League than listed above - please refer to their web site for more information
Inter Regional Championships Qualification Races (IRC) More Information
