Tue 6th Oct 2020: Club Training Camp 2021

We are delighted to be able to announce that the Club will be organising a training camp in May, 2021 in the beautiful French alpine resort of Morzine.

The camp will be based at the Hotel Les Sapins in Montriond.

The area is fantastic and the hotel right on the edge of a huge lake ideal for open water swimming.

The road cycling in the area is also very famous with the climbs of the Joux Plane, Corbier, L’Encrenaz & Colombiere all close by. The hotel is also located at the bottom of the Joux Verte.

There is also a running track close by through the woods around the Lake.

The camp will run for five days from Friday the 21st May, 2021 until Tuesday the 25th May, 2021 and will be on a half-board basis at a cost of 85 euros per person per night.

This is also based on each member having their own room. However this does depend on numbers and there is also the option for double-rooms if required.

The hotel is being refurbished so some of the rooms may not be totally renovated but the hotel will be perfectly fine for the camp with restaurant and bar area all refurbished.

Further details of the hotel can be found at

Members will of course need to organise their own transport, however Morzine is just over an hours drive from Geneva airport so transfers can also be arranged separately with the cost roughly around 20 euros per person for the return trip. If Members would prefer to drive from the UK then this is also a good option with a drive of approximately 8 hours from Calais.

The camp will be fully coached and supported with Dave Butler leading with support from the Club’s coaches.

Members will need to check-in on Thursday 20th May and check-out on Wednesday the 26th May, 2020 so a six night stay in all.

I appreciate that we are still in the middle of a pandemic but we remain optimistic that the camp can go ahead next year.

Should you be interested then can you please drop me an e-mail to so we can have an idea of numbers.

This is an exciting opportunity for the Club and we are hopeful that this is something we can offer our Members on a regular basis.
