Race report Ironman Texas 70.3

Ian George raced Ironman Texas 70.3 at the weekend. Here is his race report.

The weather at the start was horrendous. They cancelled the swim, however I was surprised they didn’t cancel the bike as well as it was wet and very windy. Riding on the tribars was a bit scary!

Just over half of the entrants either didn’t start or didn’t finish.

I was tempted not to start but I thought I would at least start the ride and see what the wind was like. I’m glad I had some extra layers with me as it was freezing.

Well done Ian, sounded very tough!
