Alpe d'Huez Triathlon 2022

With 26 members starting across the long and the medium courses East Essex were the biggest team taking part in this year's event. 

The courses for the two events were more than challenging and, in the heat of Thursday, the 120k route up three major climbs including a finish up Alpe d'Huez proved a step too far for a massive number of competitors.

Huge congratulations to all competitors across both distances, final club results are available here. 

Particular mention to Jenny Harley and Janice Brown who won their age group; this is particularly outstanding when you consider how many of the other competitors are conditioned for the mountains and heat of the South of France. The competitors, and not just EETC ones felt massively motivated by the blue and yellow of the East Essex Support Crew with lots of kind words and thanks coming our way.

Many, many stories are to be told including mislaid passports, crashed cars, ferry and train delays, dodgy accomodation but they'll all come out in the wash.
