Captains Notes- 8th March 2010
Thanks
to Kate and Chris Cammidge for putting on a great trail race at
Hadleigh Downs in aid of Fair Havens, on Saturday. The trail runners
navigated on the move, the club runners stopped to read instructions, the
tri-athletes got lost! A great time had by all and the most amazing cakes
after!
Ride leaders this week are Ian George and Chris Mowle. However keep an
eye on the web as many members are taking part in Audax rides this weekend (see
below) and this may change. Otherwise meet at the Crown Pub, Rayleigh, for 7.30
am

For the Hockley Aquathlon on 11th April. Due to the change in format of this
event we need non-competing volunteers – please see Zena or Richard for
details.

also, although this is not an official EETC event, we have been asked if we can
help with the Sport Relief fun run on 21st March at
Gemma Tune will be starting a new Core Stability Class on Thursday
evenings at the pool before swimming from the first week in April.The class
will focus on all muscles responsible for stabilising your core-abdominals -
back, hip and buttock muscles.
Anyone who wants to attend will need to bring a fit ball and a
towel/mat. Further details will follow.
Zena, Sue and Janice are planning a trip to Harris Active in the
very near future (Possibly Wednesday). If you want anything please give us your
shopping lists and cheques/ cash asap. All brands of
gels, bars, drinks etc (and flavours often not seen elsewhere. You must buy a
full box but Harris will mix flavours if you prefer. If you don’t want a whole
box – find a friend and split the cost. It is much, much cheaper than anywhere
else ( Many gels work out to less than 80p.)

Grays Tri. We urge you to enter these races as quickly as possible as they fill
quickly.
